Job Title: Senior Geo-Structural Engineering Consultant

Position Type: Part-Time Consultant (as needed)

Role Overview: PrimECS LLC is seeking a seasoned Senior Geo-Structural Engineering Consultant with expertise in both geotechnical and structural engineering. This position is a part-time position with varying workload and availability according to project needs. The consultant will play a pivotal role in designing and analyzing basic underground structures, such as supports for excavation, manholes, and retaining walls, and will be instrumental in providing integrated solutions for geo-structural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Analysis : Undertake the design and analysis of various underground structures, ensuring integration of geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
  2. Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership in geo-structural engineering, mentoring staff and contributing to project success.
  3. Quality and Compliance : Ensure that all designs and analyses meet high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  4. Project Collaboration : Collaborate on projects as needed, offering expert advice and guidance while coordinating with other engineers, clients, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in geo-structural engineering, with a proven track record in underground structure design.
  2. Licensing : Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state, with the ability or willingness to obtain licensure in other states as needed. This can be waived if the candidate possesses the right background.
  3. Education : Bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  4. Skills : Proficiency in both geotechnical and structural engineering software and techniques. Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  5. Flexibility : Ability to manage varying workloads and adapt to changing project demands.
