Prime Consulting Group LLC is Hiring a CAT Claim Adjuster Near Richmond, TX

This role is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement of
personal and commercial claims of moderate complexity; including dispute
resolution and/or recovery.

Scope of Accountability and Duties 

The following does not represent an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and or skills; 

· Working knowledge of Florida state laws and the ability to interpret and apply
laws, rules, regulations- may be required.
 

· Will manage, investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve claims to its resolution as dollar
estimates.
 

· Must exhibit the ability to multi-task and prioritize work load in a goal oriented environment. 

· Effectively communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information
regarding claims.
 

· Must maintain a high level of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service while using
discretion and independent judgement in claims handling.
 

· Must demonstrate functional knowledge and skills reflective of a fully competent claims
representative.
 

· Will maintain file quality in accordance to vendor’s specifications and estimating guidelines. 

· Demonstrated knowledge of handling property loss claims. 

· Demonstrated knowledge of Florida property claims laws, including application of local
building codes and condominium statue.
 

· Will conduct inspections that will require climbing roofs, entering crawl spaces, and other
physical examinations of property as required.
 

· Will be required to verbally communicate with policy holders and/or their representatives
concerning reconciliations, negotiations, claims settlements, etc.
 

· Will be required to submit daily vendor invoices in a timely manner. 

· Demonstrated caseload management skills. 

· Ability to represent the vendor in claims adjudication, hearings, dispositions, mediation,
trails, and other proceedings.
 

· Will be required to complete other job duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications 

Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. 

Work Experience: Must have a minimum of (6) six months of property claims adjusting
experience.

License(s): May be required to have a valid Florida Adjuster license with Appointment. 

Specialized Knowledge: Must be proficient in the usage of Xactimate /Xactanalysis system, Outlook,

Excel, MS Word and Adobe Acrobat.

satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities
required.
 

· Technical claims expertise, with experience handling complex procedures.  

· Maintenance of up to date licenses and/or the ability to obtain appropriate adjuster
licensing in assigned states.
 

· Experience working in a client support role.

· Proficient in the use of applicable claims handling systems and software. 

· Experience using MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Adobe Acrobat.  

· Excellent customer service focus and customer relations skills.  

· Demonstrated leadership and analytical capabilities. 

· Excellent written and spoken communication skills. 

· Working knowledge of claim settlement practices as prescribed within each state. 

· Knowledgeable of field inspection concepts, practices, and procedures. 

· Physical ability to climb roofs, enter crawl spaces, and perform other physical acts
necessary to provide service.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 

The essential physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation; 

· Must be able to move, walk, climb, bend, reach, kneel, squat,
stoop, crawling, and/or traverse.
 

· This position may require overnight travel during catastrophe responses. 

· Employees must be able to report to an assigned location within a 72 hour window.

· Must be able to work non-traditional business hours and weekends as necessary.  

· This position frequently communicates to managers, policy holders, customers, and
adjusters concerning all aspects of the insurance claims process, as such, one
must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
 

· Occasionally ascends/descends on ladder to inspect property damage (i.e. roofs). 

· Must be able to observe, inspect, and assess property damage. 

· Frequently moves and lifts objects typically weighing up to 50 pounds

· Constantly works outdoor in all types of weather conditions. 

· May be required to frequently operate motor vehicle.
