Prime Choice Family Clinic & Urgent Care is Hiring a Patient Access Representative Near Frisco, TX

We are looking for a warm and friendly receptionist to assist at our front desk and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our Urgent Care and walk in clinic. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome patients and coordinate front-desk activities. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients with a smile as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
  • Prioritized patient triage by relaying high risk complaints to clinical staff, appropriately registered patients in the urgent care and filtered incoming phone calls.
  • Answer patients’ inquiries regarding facility services and facilitated communication by translating between clinical staff & patients
  • Mediated facility and billing complaints to patient advocate team, Medical Director depending on acuity.
  • Verified insurance eligibility, obtained pre-authorization, collected copays, and maintained medical record by scanning and filing documents.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role in a Medical office or Hospital setting for 1-2 years
  • Medical Scribe experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in using EMRs
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance, enthusiastic about your job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service with pleasant attitude
  • High school degree; some college or additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

  • Frisco, TX 75035: Relocate before starting work (Required)
