Quality Technician
Summary:
The Quality Technician will primarily support the inspection, calibration program, and returned product analysis. We are looking for a hands-on, highly motivated, driven individual that can also work independently. This position will report to the Director of QA/RA.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections under minimal supervision to determine conformance with specifications, utilizing standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, and test fixtures.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections, as required.
  • Schedule calibration of gages in a timely manner to avoid overdue calibrations.
  • Maintain the Calibration system.
  • Process associated documentation including data sheets, rework records, refurbishing documents, and nonconforming material documents.
  • Provide written results of inspections performed.
  • Participate in final inspections at suppliers’ sites, as required.
  • Organize raw materials, components, assemblies, and instruments to ensure proper identification and traceability.
Education and Experience:
  • 2 years hands on inspection experience.
  • Must be familiar with the use of fundamental hand inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers and functional gauging, and manual and portable CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) usage.
  • Must be able to perform Gauge R&R or Measurement Error Studies.
  • Must be able to utilize the Inspection and MRB Event Solution, including SharePoint websites.
  • Must be able to perform basic functions in Excel® application software.
Key Skills/Abilities:
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and Minitab Statistical Analysis software (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to manage several projects.
  • Technical writing and editing skills highly preferred.
