Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Household care and maintenance
• Accompany consumer on community outings with the approval or request of parent/guardian
• Implement individualized care plans and document progress
• Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment
• Attend any meetings/training's that may be scheduled by the supervisor
• Submit completed forms to the agency by the schedule deadline
• Complete daily notes within 24 hours of providing services

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred (e.g., nursing home, hospice care, home care)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Not listed on the NC Health Care Abuse Registry
• Knowledge of caregiving principles and practices, including resident rights and dignity
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and ability to use medical equipment
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

• 4 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
