Primary Health Choice is Hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist Near Lumberton, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other professionals and systems to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to clients
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive change
  • Assist with social work tasks such as connecting clients with community resources
  • Provide behavioral health support and interventions
  • Offer addiction counseling services to individuals struggling with substance abuse
  • Manage crisis situations effectively and ensure the safety of clients

Requirements:

  • Valid NC Peer Support Certification
  • Experience in crisis intervention or mental health preferred
  • Strong knowledge of systems and how they impact individuals' well-being
  • Ability to effectively mentor and support individuals in need
  • Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
  • Familiarity with social work principles and practices
  • Knowledge of behavioral health interventions and strategies
  • Excellent crisis management skills
