PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Turlock, CA

We’re looking for a bright Medical Assistant to help doctors and patients. As a medical assistant, you will assist with a wide range of duties, such as scheduling appointments, dealing with insurance companies, writing patient correspondence and maintaining patient records. As part of our medical team, you should feel comfortable working with a wide variety of patients. You should be passionate about healthcare and have good communication skills to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctors and nurses in the delivery of medical care to patients.
  • Record patient data (e.g. vital signs, test results and symptoms) at intake, post-procedure and discharge.
  • Communicate with patients on health-related matters and answer biographical questions.
  • Accompany doctors during medical procedures to assist them with instruments.
  • Rooming patients
  • Keep track of medical supplies needed and order them as necessary.
  • Provide information to patients in a courteous manner.
  • Explain treatment options to patients.
  • Hand out medications prescribed by doctors in a safe manner.
  • Keep accurate record of medical files, tests and medications administered to patients.
  • Perform clerical duties like filing, sorting or faxing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
