Job description
Busy Primary Care practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our group. Our office is in southern Vermont and is part of a large physician-owned group of independent practitioners called Primary Care Health Partners. Position provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, uses state-of-the-art technology, including Medent EHR; and we have a strong affiliation with our local community hospital. Scope of practice encompasses diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, health maintenance and prevention of diseases through patient education, immunizations and physicals. Two Years’ Experience required. Compensation determined according to level of experience.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of adult patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies
- Provide counseling and education to patients on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and health promotion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as an Adult Medicine Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and the pathophysiology of common adult diseases
- Proficiency in conducting utilization reviews to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources
- Experience in administering injections, including dermal fillers, vaccines, and other medications
- Familiarity with triage protocols for prioritizing patient care in urgent situations
- Competence in specimen collection processing and interpretation of laboratory results
- Ability to perform procedures such as venipuncture, IV placement, and spinal taps
- Knowledge of family planning methods and counseling techniques
