Freight Warehouse Agent

Location : Forest Park, Ga

Status : Full-time

Salary : $18 / hour and up

PrideStaff Atlanta South has a Freight Warehouse Agent position available with no forklift requirement. This will be a Temporary to Hire opportunity and you will have to operate a computer 50% of the time.

Freight Warehouse Agent Responsibilities

• Process back to back shipments
• Check cargo against accompanying forms to identify discrepancies
• Provide support to different origins and destinations
• Create forms for various departments
• Calculate cargo dimensions and weight for the proper consolidation method
• Quote customers and negotiate rates with carriers
• Coordinate freight transfers between facilities
• Comply with all U.S. Customs, IATA and TSA regulations and requirements : DG declarations, SEDs, and manifests

Freight Warehouse Agent Qualifications

• Eye for detail (required)
• Computer literacy (50% computer work)
• Ability to communicate
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to self start projects as needed
• A team player mindset
