PRINT OPERATOR

Our client services a wide variety of business lines including Bankruptcy, Class Action, and Print Fulfillment in a fast-paced office environment with extensive contact with clients and employees.

SUMMARY :

Print Operators help set up and operate various printing equipment. This position focuses on inkjet printing and various digital, toner-based machines.

The expectation is that through team work, each task is completed with the highest possible level of accuracy and timeliness.

SCHEDULE : Mon - Fri 6am -2 : 30pm

This position has a work schedule that frequently changes due to work volume. OT and weekends are frequently needed. Flexibility with schedule is highly valued.

PAY RATE : up to $22.00 / hr based on experience

DUTIES

• Responsible for machine set-up and operation following guidelines as set in the job ticket.
• Load print files to prioritize the print workflow, maintain quality standards, perform scheduled maintenance and oversee any helpers assigned during the run
• Maintain set quality standards and company SOP’s
• Read and understand work order completely.
• Visually inspect all work order materials against job specifications and report all problems to supervisor.
• Prepare files for printing
• Validates print jobs are set up to specifications
• Loads rolls of paper for printing and then print the documents
• Troubleshoot equipment issues including perforators, slitters and cutters
• Document inventory usage and waste
• Provide post-printing checks and balances and follows quality steps throughout the entire process.
• Performs regular maintenance and cleaning of the print equipment and print operations area
• Additional responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate from college or technical school / or at least 3 months related experience and / or training in related field / job
• Experience on Océ or Canon production continuous digital printers and / or similare printers
• Strong mechanical ability and aptitude with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of print, postal standards, as well as experience in a fast-paced environment, is desired.
• Computer knowledge is required and able to balance transactions
• Fast-paced, reliable, detail oriented and the ability to work independently and multi-task
• Previous experience in a variety of industrial and / or financial printing fields preferred
