R2 Contractors, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join our team. The project manager (PM) will be an integral interface between the field superintendent and the customer, agencies, and other project stakeholders. The PM will work with the Superintendent to keep field crews operating at high efficiency and in compliance with all project requirements by communicating regularly with the appropriate parties to resolve issues, forecast production, schedule work and participate in project required meetings.

The Project Manager would need to be willing to travel up to 100%, as needed, to and from different job sites out of state.

The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:

· New project planning & coordination amongst internal departments, subcontractors, and clients.

· Proper tracking of project completion, daily production rates, materials, equipment usage, changes to conditions, etc.

· Effectively understand the scope of work, terminology, and project documents.

· Read, interpret, understand, and recognize project specifications and project drawings. Utilization of all documents to construct the project per design.

· Schedule building and maintenance.

· AP invoice review/approval.

· Monthly billings.

· Timecard review/approval.

· Budget review and understanding.

· Budget maintenance during construction.

· Project projections (material, productivity, manpower, equipment).

· Relationship building (internal/external).

Requirements:

  • Experience working in public works.
  • Experience utilizing many layers of project documents in order to effectively comply with project building requirements.
  • Experience in PM, CM or QC rolls on large scale power projects involving civil construction within the power industry.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with or willingness to be trained on HCSS Software (Heavyjob & Heavybid).
  • Experience with or willingness to be trained on Microsoft Project.
  • Must be a team player and willing to perform multiple duties as the need arises.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and a DVR acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Willing and able to work long hours and in varying conditions.
  • This position is subject to drug testing and background check.
