What You'll Do :
Be the Heart of Giving : You'll be the primary point person for processing weekly church contributions, working closely with credit card processors and parishioners to ensure smooth giving experiences.
Maintain Financial Accuracy : Prepare journal entries for contributions to be reviewed by the Senior Accountant. Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies in revenue.
Become a Stewardship Expert : Assist with pledge entry for campaigns, collaborate with the Advancement department on contribution reporting and generating periodic statements.
Embrace Teamwork : Work collaboratively with colleagues on monthly revenue reconciliations and reporting.
Contribute to Strong Processes : Help maintain an up-to-date procedure manual for contribution processing, including the merchant account software.
Expand Your Skills : Assist with implementing internal controls, month-end procedures, and monthly reconciliations as part of the broader finance team.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel & Word) and comfortable with internet / email.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to our church's specific database system and software programs.
Completion of training modules (prior to employment).
Bonus Points for :
Experience with donor database / CRM systems.
Previous work with credit cards and merchant accounts.
A keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Per Year
