Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership:

    • Provide visionary leadership to the clinical team and DSPs, utilizing best practices, Trauma Informed Care, and focus on positive therapeutic outcomes for children and their families.
    • Foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and innovation in the development and implementation of therapeutic programs.
    • Enable comprehensive training programs to ensure competencies for all team members.
    • Facilitate efficient operation to meet Pride's strategic plan.
  • Collaborative Care Approach:

    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with other PRTF professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations to create a comprehensive care network for children and their families.
    • Promote a multidisciplinary approach to treatment that addresses the diverse needs of each child.
    • Coordinate referrals for admission with the Admission and Discharge Committee to ensure a smooth transition to and from services and to divert unnecessary out-of-state referrals.
  • Program Development:

    • Oversee the design and enhancement of therapeutic programs that cater to the unique developmental and emotional needs of children.
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in treatment and integrate innovative practices into Manchester House's programs.
    • Ensure on-going licensure and accreditation though ND's Department of HHS, the Council on Accreditation and federal Medical Assistance.
    • Safeguard financial Accountability; ensure expenditures are allowable within established limits; monitor financials on an ongoing basis.
    • Enhance professional development by reading, attending job related workshops, trainings, and classes
    • Plan, organize and attend in-service training programs
    • Review hiring, termination, job coaching, etc.
    • Routinely update policies and procedures manual
  • Family Engagement:

    • Prioritize and facilitate open communication with families, involving them in the treatment process and providing the necessary support and education to strengthen familial bonds.
  • Advocacy and Awareness:

    • Serve as an advocate for children's mental health at local levels.
    • Raise awareness about the work that Pride Manchester House conducts for children with high behavioral needs.
    • Serve as community and agency liaison between Manchester House, Pride, Inc., the Bismarck-Mandan community, and the state of North Dakota; maintaining open lines of communication with other departments, providers, and agencies. This would include organizational collaboration through the follow:
      • Pride, Inc. Management
      • Pride's Risk Management
      • Manchester's Management and Supervision
      • Clinical, Admission and Discharges, All Staff Meetings
      • COA, QPI, and Outcomes Meetings
      • PRTF Coalition
      • Department of Human Services and Medical Assistance programs
  • Quality Improvement:

    • Implement and oversee continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of Manchester House's programs and services.
    • Monitor outcomes, evaluate program efficacy, and make data-driven decisions to improve overall treatment outcomes.
    • Direct supervision of clinical and DSP's, complete annual performance reviews.
    • Ensure the building and grounds are in good maintenance
    • compliance with Department of Labor practices
    • Oversee on-call programming

Experience
