Pride, Inc. is Hiring a Manchester House Residential Supervisor Near Bismarck, ND

This position is responsible for supervising delivery of services by direct team members. The Residential Supervisor will ensure services are provided in the least restrictive manner that provides compassionate, trauma informed care and treatment for children, fostering resilience. 

This Residential Supervisor is required to schedule themselves 20 hours per week working direct hours on the floor. These hours will be evenings and weekends to meet the needs of Manchester House and the children we serve.

In keeping with the values and philosophy of Pride, the person filling this position may occasionally be required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the specific duties listed on their Position Description.

In the performance of your position duties, you should always be aware of how you can enhance the child’s ability to make choices in their lives that will allow them to achieve their goals, have better relationships, be more satisfied with their services and with their life situations, have a daily routine and privacy, and effectively use their environments. Children should be safe and be connected to a natural support system, exercise their rights, be treated fairly, and be respected. Children also have the right to the best possible health, be secure, and be free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Sensitivity to every child’s cultural and socioeconomic background and needs is required.

1. The primary responsibility is to promote the growth, well-being and autonomy of the children served. Growth refers to the maturation of the child in an age-appropriate manner. Well-being reflects the preferences of the child. Autonomy is the ability of the child in ensuring that they have the support needed to maintain control over their environments and life events.

2. Ensure all team members have read the Policy sections pertaining to Pride’s mission, values, and philosophy, understand Pride’s policies and procedures, and are able to identify and respond to situations involving neglect, abuse, and/or exploitation of any person served.

3. Serve as a positive role model for team members and children served, following the mission, values, and policies of Pride, Inc.

4. Hire team members following the hiring practices of Pride, Inc., completing all hiring forms in an accurate and timely manner. 

5. Train team members following the new team member training guide.

6. Familiarize team members with files/charts for each child.

7. Evaluate team members’ performance in accordance with Pride’s policy.

8. Attend and participate in clinical meetings.

9. Supervise the documentation of results and progress.

10. Provide on-going information to team members and the clinical team.

11. Schedule monthly staffing to meet the needs of the children and Manchester House.

12. Schedule and conduct periodic meetings for team member training and dissemination of information.

13. Be a responsible Team Member by arriving to work on time, flexible with work schedule, punching in/out, completing all paperwork in a timely manner, effectively and positively communicating with team members and parents.

14. Make sure there is adequate coverage provided in situations of staff absences.

15. Attend agency staff meetings, participate in agency sponsored in service training, and enhance professional development by reading, and attending job related workshops and classes.

EDUCATION

·Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human service field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

·One year supervisory experience preferred.

·Two years working with children in a residential setting preferred.

PHYSICAL

·Assistance with transferring and lifting up to 50 pounds.
