Pride In North Carolina, LLC is Hiring a Substance Abuse Professional Near Raleigh, NC

The Community Support Team Licensed Substance Abuse Professional works as part of a team for adults to plan, coordinate, and monitor services through the provision of direct and indirect services to eligible persons served. Persons in this position are required, at a minimum, to have a four-year degree in a human service field and two years of experience with the mental health population and be a licensed Substance Abuse Professional. Licensure qualifications may include CCS, LCAS, LCAS-A, or CADC. Persons with a non-human service degree may be considered if they have 4 years of mental health experience. At least one year of the experience must be with adults. Staff with a higher level of credentials may fulfill this job position.

Community Support Team service recipients must meet medical necessity criteria, per the CST service definition. Persons employed in these positions work together with the team lead to develop the person-centered plan. As such, they must be knowledgeable of the adult mental health population, able to plan and engage in activities, provide supportive counseling, and crisis management. This position requires the ability to work in a mutually respectful partnership with the persons served and their support to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face. A working knowledge of practical application of the agency Evidenced Based Model as well as Motivational Interviewing is required. They are required to attend and participate in meetings on behalf of the person-served, participate in weekly case consultation meetings with the team, and participate in clinical training events and meetings as required by the Clinical Director and/or Medical Director.
