MEDICAL ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Pride Health is hiring a MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our client’s healthcare team all over Ridgefield, CT This is a Contract Position with our client’s reputable healthcare organization.

JOB SUMMARY :

• all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice.
• diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs.
• Performs quality control checks on equipment.
• and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave.
• patients according to policy and procedures, prepare patients for examination.
• patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner
• patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
• exam and treatment rooms, stocks, and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• standard infection control precautions
• and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
• and follows Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO)
• all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• school graduate or GED equivalent.
• recognized Medical Assistant certification.
• certification

• Schedule : Monday-Friday : 8 : 00 to 5 : 00PM
• range : 17$ to 21$
• Pay rate offered is based on years of experience, education, licensing, and other credentials.
• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
