Job Role:

• Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the LPN performs nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients on an assigned unit.
• The duties require the use of tact and judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
• May assist in the supervision of non-professional subordinates. Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Nursing Department.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge in the treatment of patients requiring nursing care.
• Uses available diagnostic results and other information to make an accurate evaluation. Applies knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases and uses available resources in performing the nursing process.
• Performs timely, comprehensive, and accurate reevaluations and documentation at regular intervals as defined by the department, when a significant change occurs in the resident's condition, and when otherwise warranted. Is considerate of residents' privacy during the evaluation process. 

Requirements:

• NY LPN License
• MUST have Nursing Home Experience
• BLS.
• 2 year geriatrics or LTC experience.
