Our System Architecture team helps build customisable specific system solutions that enhance PwC’s system capabilities to appropriately serve all client needs. As part of the team, you’ll use enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map PwC capabilities to business needs outlined by clients.

PwC Global IT is focused on standardizing, automating, delivering tools, processes & exploring emerging technologies. We are seeking a data & analytics solution architect to lead our Data Platform’s growth through enablement & adoption of end-user solutions. This role reports to the Data Solutions Architecture team leader, & responsible for defining reference architectures and ensuring successful adoption & usage of Data Platform technologies using proven architectural patterns.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:

  • Developing solutions, reference architectures, and technical documentation that embodies data engineering, analytics, and visualization use-cases;
  • Working directly with territory Data Platform teams to onboard Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Visualization experts to the platform when in-territory onboarding team is unable to help;
  • Acting as an authority on Data Platform features and capabilities where it aligns with citizen developer needs;
  • Identifying and prioritizing high value opportunities and engage experts in the Data Platform team to support where necessary, engaging leadership as required;
  • Providing regular feedback and architectural guidance to Data Platform engineering and Data Solutions teams;
  • Creating feature additions on behalf of the teams working within the local territory hubs;
  • Gathering requirements for new use cases, and guiding the team to drive them to completion;
  • Utilizing established development tools, guidelines, and conventions to create solutions and starter kits using many technologies such as SQL, Python, C#, Java, Git, and Azure DevOps;
  • Knowledge of and experience using data engineering, analytics, and visualization tools (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Spark, etc.);
  • Identifying new process opportunities and accurately analyzing, solutioning, and estimating new processes, quickly assessing feasibility;
  • Analyzing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required;
  • Identifying and addressing business/client needs;
  • Possessing experience with application integration design patterns following both synchronous and asynchronous patterns; API Management; Event Hubs (pub/sub);
  • Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process;
  • Creating and documenting procedures and scenarios to help enable end users to access and use starter kits being developed on Data Platform;
  • Exhibiting unlimited curiosity, with a desire to learn and seek understanding of how things work;
  • Working in a fast paced and agile environment;
  • Taking initiative to self-research and build expertise in the variety of platform technologies;
  • Working effectively with remote teams using collaboration technology; and,
  • Managing third-party vendors.
