Price-Davis, Inc., a leading dealer of convenience store fixtures and restaurant equipment in the Southeast, seeks a detail-oriented candidate with AutoCAD experience to work with and support the sales department's initiatives by providing professional equipment layouts and proposals.

Objectives of this role:

• Design visual concepts using appropriate tools, media, and/or technologies
• Incorporate relevant branding, marketing, and communication strategies in designs
• Complete design projects on time and within the designated budget

Responsibilities:

• Communicate design concepts and support the sales team
• Collaborate with inside teams/department for cohesive deliverables
• Time-manage multiple projects and keep their supervisor and others well informed of project status.
• Consistently deliver creative solutions for visually based problems or needs

• Portfolio of high-quality professional work and project samples (for entry-level role, academic portfolio is acceptable)
• Mastery of foundational design concepts and visual principles
• Proficiency with the techniques, tools, and technologies necessary for outstanding design work

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed floor plans, with information provided by sales representatives, showing equipment placement and specifications
• Prepare presentation drawings
• Works with sales to obtain customer approvals of drawings.
• Works with architects and builders to provide equipment drawings and specifications
• Submit floor plans to vendors for quotations on equipment
• Generate project quotations using AUTOQUOTES, a quotation program designed specifically for the foodservice equipment industry
• Provide Customer Service with final drawings to be submitted with vendor purchase orders.
• Review vendor shop drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate floor plans for the installation department.
• Provides equipment specifications for customers and vendors, as needed.
• Maintains records and files for efficient operation including quote files, cost databases, supplier certification files, etc. Ensures accurate pricing in quote files on all items, including special pricing items.

• Communication is an important part of the job, as designers work with both management and clients to formulate campaigns that meet specific objectives. The professional opinion of a designer is highly sought after during the construction of campaigns, so the confidence to guide people effectively is often required.

Education:

An associate degree in architectural design or technologies, at minimum, is required.

Experience:

Candidate should be well versed in AutoCAD LT 2020 or greater as well as Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 3 years of work-related experience is required. Experience in design for retail or foodservice environment is a plus.

Knowledge:

Must be proficient in AutoCAD LT 2020 at a minimum, Microsoft Office, including Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Must also remain current with other relevant computing skills. Must be able to harness the power of online search engines to source ideas and products.

Other requirements:

Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and architectural layout and design skills. Must be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a team. Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize.
