Description

Summary:

Responsible for nursing functions, providing patient care and assisting with medical obstetric ultrasounds.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clinic staff and volunteers to coordinate flow of patients.

• Perform limited medical screening and pregnancy tests
• Perform limited medical obstetric ultrasounds in accordance with our delegated orders, as scheduled
• Initial patient assessments
• Assist with patient/family education. Give instructions to patient as directed.
• Maintain patient documentation according to clinic protocol. Document and report test results.
• Assist with follow up of patient's medical conditions and test results.
• Collect and run lab tests.
• Incorporate principals of safety in all clinical operations. Demonstrate safe use of equipment related to patient care. Maintain infection control measures with all patient contact.
• May drive the mobile sonogram unit
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry
• Pro-life in word and pro-love in action
• Possess current RN license
• Possess or be willing to obtain sonography training
• Comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements
• Excellent communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• High level of confidentiality
• Experience working with volunteers a plus
• Commitment to continued professional development especially in the areas of obstetrics, gynecology and womens health issues.
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
