Description

Provides oversight and assistance in developing and executing strategies and initiatives of the ministry, including, but not limited to, coordination of all strategies, initiatives, tasks, and operations for the Global Outreach ministry of Prestonwood Baptist Church PBC.

Responsibilities:

• Help to oversee and administer all planning and logistics related to short-term mobilization to include, but not limited to:
  • Develop, oversee, and execute necessary systems and processes to successfully achieve the short-term mobilization goals of the ministry
  • Ensure mobilization team leaders and team members are knowledgeable of all requirements related to the short-term, mid-term and long-term opportunities
  • Oversee and assist mission teams in short-term mission logistics, including, but not limited to airline/travel reservations, housing/hotel reservations, and field ministry planning
  • Develop and monitor short-term mobilization budgets and ensure they are prudently managed; develop and provide budgetary analysis and reports, as needed and required; assume accountability for the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and ensure detailed financial information for fiscal control purposes
• Oversee ministry office operations, to include, but not limited to:
  • Answer and promptly respond to incoming general requests in the form of phone calls, email, and web-based correspondence
  • Properly maintain office inventory to help achieve the goals of the ministry
  • Ensure that office is staffed at the opening and closing of the offices, as posted throughout the year
  • Receive and route incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
  • Create and maintain a historical file retention system for all initiatives, plans, and projects of the ministry
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to effectively mobilize the PBC community
• Work alongside the Missions team to oversee and execute large-scale initiatives of the ministry
• Oversee assigned staff and volunteer lay leaders to effectively achieve global ministry goals
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of ministry files and records for all mobilization ministry needs
• Ensure compliance of church-wide protocol such as finance procedures, utilizing church databases, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Proficient in user of Microsoft software
• Experience with planning or participating in missions very helpful
• Some college, college degree preferred
• Able to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs
