Overview

Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc (PHRI) is seeking an experienced, pro-active, thoughtful team member who can make a substantial and valuable impact to the organization. We currently provide services to over 1,500 patients in two different states. We are in growth mode and looking to scale to providing care to over 10,000 patients in 5 different states over the next 3 years. Our focus is advocating and implementing an integrated care model approach to the underserved population undergoing behavioral health related issues.

Position Summary

Reporting to a designated site supervisor, the healthcare operations intern will receive hands-on training and exposure to engaging PHRI consumers in their journey toward wellness. Interns will receive training and oversight of their designated site supervisor in various healthcare operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities may be different based on the department(s) setting the intern is placed.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities conducted.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents.
  • Ability to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to travel to meetings, other campuses, and counseling sites.
  • Ability to establish rapport with others as a requisite for healthy working relationships.
  • Ability to present oneself in an appropriately personable and professional manner to students and staff.
  • Ability to receive and utilize constructive feedback regarding performance, presentation, and relationships with others.
  • Ability to be both consistent and flexible as circumstances warrant.
  • Ability to communicate via computer email.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

PHRI offers two tracks for clinical interns to follow:

General – interns who are enrolled in an undergraduate program or graduate program in the fields of social work, counseling, psychology, mental health, nursing, community health, healthcare administration, finance, IT, or related fields.

Advanced – interns who are enrolled in a graduate level program in the fields of social work, counseling, psychology, healthcare administration, finance, IT, or related fields.

  2. Delegate effectively ; giving clear direction, setting expectations, and providing the necessary resources and support to help their teams succeed.
  3. Predict future trends and challenges ; staying up-to-date on industry developments, monitoring market trends, and seeking out new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  4. Systemize processes ; identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, establishing clear workflows and procedures, and ensuring that everyone in the organization is aligned around the same goals.
  5. Structure organization for growth ; defining clear roles and responsibilities, establishing a clear chain of command, and creating a culture of accountability and transparency.

Work environment

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

Travel

  • May require travel throughout the D/M/V area.
