POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Delegator ensures that resident care needs are met by delegating nursing tasks, trainingstaff, and overseeing medication services. Assists with coordinating and completing assessments andall residents have accurate service plans as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delegates nursing tasks as allowed under applicable state nursing laws and practice acts,communicating regularly with residents, their families, and their health care practitioners.
2. Provides training of staff in health-related services including but not limited to providing personal careand medication management.
3. Assesses health, functional, and psychosocial status of residents. Participates in the development ofindividualized service plans. Assists in managing care and services for each resident, maximizing theresident’s opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment.
4. Oversees the documentation and communication of resident care and services. Assists the leadershipteam to ensure resident records are completed in a timely manner and maintained according tocompany policies and state regulations.
5. Maintains and oversees medication services including staff training, staff oversight, pharmacycoordination, medication room, and medication systems.
6. Assists in the management of Infection Control. Provides training to staff on infection controlpractices, investigates, and reports incidents of infection and tracks infection data.
7. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all rules, regulations and policies pertaining to resident care.Responsible to stay informed of industry and health care trends and standards, applying newknowledge to meet the changing needs of residents. Seeks out additional expertise and advice whenneeded to assure residents’ needs are met and proper practices followed.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice. Must have delegationexperience in the state assigned. Experience in geriatric nursing, medication administration, casemanagement, and training and staff development preferred.
EDUCATION
Registered Nurse license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing, mayalso be a diploma RN.
