Interested in becoming a CNA?

This registered year-long Apprenticeship will provide state-required training, clinical hours, on-the-job training, and regular career coach support to allow you to master the skills you need in your first year as a CNA and to pursue further healthcare career pathways.

Recruitment for the cohort May 10th, 2024 is underway and will be placed in the Portland Metro Area through Longterm CareWorks Rise Program. You would work at our Park Forest Care Center or another Prestige Care Center in the Portland area, once you graduate.

This is the moment you have been waiting for free training to become a Nursing Assistant! Upon completion of the class, you would sit for the test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Once you pass the test, you will have a job waiting for you with the Prestige Care Family, with NEW wage increase starting at $20.22-$27.22/hour !

Year Long Apprenticeship NA Training Program

6 week NA Apprenticeship Training Program and 1 year with CNA Mentor at Park Forest

4 weeks: Classes/Labs in Lloyd District at Rise

Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and 9am -3:30pm

2 Weeks: Clinicals at Park Forest Care Center

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm

Graduation: End of June 2024, then remaining year with CNA Mentor working at a Portland area Prestige Care Center.

LongTerm CareWorks' CNA Apprenticeship a year-long, no cost program that will give you the training and support you need to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

The apprenticeship includes:

The attributes required of a Nursing Assistant Candidate is to provide care and concern for those who may be unable to physically or mentally care for themselves. They must possess patience, empathy and unwavering compassion for people. Practice and “hands-on” supervised training. After completion of the Nursing Assistant Class, you will be eligible for employment consideration to be hired as a Nursing Assistant, you must be able to provide legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States, employment references, and be at least 18 years of age.

The primary responsibility of a student that is selected for the NA Class is to acquire the knowledge, skills and certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA) by participation in the facility’s planned educational program. This program consists of classroom and clinical instructions. Upon completion of the NA program a student is prepared to take the state examination in order to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

• Able to attend all class and clinical sessions
• Be willing to undergo a criminal background.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
