Prestige Care - Float Pool is Hiring a LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Portland OR Float Nursing Pool Near Vancouver, WA

This position is for on call hours. 


LPN Wage: 40.00-44.00 per hour DOE and status. Differential offered for dual licensure in OR and WA which requires you to actively work in both states.
Mileage available for any travel over 30 miles round trip upon approval per assignment.

What does the LicensedPractical Nurse (Travel Nursing Pool) do?

In this job, everyday you will…

1. Supervises nonprofessional staff in the dailydelivery of resident care, schedules job assignments and develops nursing unitpriorities and assists in identifying substitutes for staff absences.

2. Monitors work assignments, provides feedback,evaluates performance, and redirects services as directed by Resident CareManager or Director of Nursing Services of pertinent problems.

3. Prepares or assists with new admissions,transfers, and discharges, providing direct resident care as determined byresident condition.

4. Completes treatments and procedures, as orderedby the physician, and within scope of practice and related training whileobserving resident condition and reporting changes to physician and ResidentCare Manager.

5. Evaluates and records residents’ needs andresponses to medications and administers medications as ordered by thephysician and directs medication aides accordingly.

6. Completes incident forms, transcribes andcarries out physician orders and notifies family and physician as directed.

7. Documents all pertinent information oninterdisciplinary notes and 24-Hour D.N.S. report form, and documentsmedications, treatments and procedures performed on appropriate records.

Education & Experienceyou need to qualify:

  • An active LPN certificate or Associate Degree inNursing.
  • Must have a current, unencumbered LPN license inthe state you would be practicing in.
  • Minimum of 1 year working in geriatric nursing,including experience with medication administration, delivery systems andpharmacies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication andmotivational skills are essential to success.
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve in bothresident care and employee management situations.
