Job Location: Pinecrest - Huntington, WV
Salary Range: $11.51 Hourly

Description

Summary of Job Function: Drives minibus or van to transport Prestera Clients and NonPrestera Clients to prescheduled medical appointments, per daily schedule, in a timely fashion

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Functions:

1. Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to appointments or other destination according to assigned schedule.

2. Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.

3. Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.

4. May operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.

5. Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories according to schedule established by the maintenance supervisor.

6. Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers on Prestera Center forms and files reports according to guidelines established by the supervisor.

7. Turns in daily transportation sheets, properly and completely filled out.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

1. Education, Certification/License, and/or Experience

a. High School Diploma or GED required.

b. Valid drivers license is required with an exceptional driving record.

c. Experience is preferred.

d. Must attain/maintain certification in Non-violent crisis intervention and CPR/FA during employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Reasoning Ability: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Physical & Mental Requirements: Climbing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, and carrying should probably be Occasional. All of the lifting lowering percentages should be Occasional. Color Discrimination should be continuous. Bodily Fluids exposure should be rarely.
