JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Test Engineer at Prescriptive Data, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of the AI/ML applications developed in the engineering and core research departments. Your day-to-day involves designing and implementing tests for machine learning algorithms, developing quality metrics, and establishing QA processes around AI/ML.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish Quality Metrics/KPIs for AI/ML.
• Play a major role in improving the quality, functionality, reliability, and usability of machine learning and AI software packages.
• Interact with product development team(s) to evaluate system interfaces, operational, and performance requirements of the overall system.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the testing process and procedures by analyzing reported bugs, assessing test coverage, and pinpointing problem areas.
• Create and expand automated tests for AI/ML software packages.
• Execute tests & analyze test results to ensure the quality of existing and new functionalities.
• Participate in production deployments by coordinating, monitoring, and verifying new releases.

• 2 years of work experience in QA, machine learning, or data engineering.
• Hands-on experience and a solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods.
• Must have experience working with a machine learning stack: Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, scipy, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Programming experience in Javascript using Artillery.io, or Cypress.io is a plus.
• Must have experience working with BDD test frameworks: Pytest, Cucumber, JUnit, etc.
• Comfortable working in a 50% automated and 50% manual testing environment.
• Ability to identify test requirements from specifications, document test case scenarios, and design test plans.
• Hands-on experience writing functional, systems integration, regression, and performance test scenarios.
• Hands-on experience end-to-end testing machine learning algorithms, web services, and databases.
• Ability to set up test data needed for testing AI/ML algorithms.
• Ability to execute positive and negative test cases in a timely manner, analyze test results, and identify defects.
• Ability to explain defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to deliver manual and automation deliverables in a fast-paced development lifecycle.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

• Proven track record of improving AI/ML model accuracy through testing.
• Must know quality assurance processes and tools.

• Four (4) year bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, data science, mathematics, electrical engineering) or equivalent work experience.
