Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a SW Engineer III/SME – Software Developer, Systems Software to support a government client.

Description:

• Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
• Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
• Possess expert technical knowledge and domain.
• Direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
• Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
• Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
• May supervise others.
• Plane, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

Clearance:

• TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI/POLY

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI.
• 7 years of experience developing distributed software applications using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks.
• Proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript in a modern JS framework. ReactJS with TypeScript a plus.
• Excel at server-side web development (Java, Python, PHP, Perl).
• Experience in transactional logic in relational data stores (SQL, JDBC, etc.).
• Experience with non-relational data stores and indexers (caching, Mongo, Elastic, etc.).
• Proficiency in HTTP and HTTPS protocols, REST APIs.
• Experience developing AI/ML enabled applications for an intel mission.
• Experience with Python-based microservices (Flask, FastAPI).
• Conversant with WebSockets.
• Experience with GraphQL.

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
