Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Senior Software Developer for Software Defined Radios (SSD) to support a government client.

The requirements listed define the Senior Level Software Developer for Software Defined Radios (SSD) responsibilities and tasking. The SSD is a highly experienced and qualified individual that is able to analyze detailed system architectural designs and functional requirements for Minotaur Mission Systems (MMS). The SSD shall use agile software development practices to plan, create, improve, maintain and test the core, sensor and radio software baselines. The SSD shall support the Chief Integration Engineer (CIE)/Program Manager and other team members to accomplish software development and execute the MMS software plans. The SSD shall be able to mentor junior software developers and provide guidance to senior leadership.

The SSD shall be qualified to execute the below functions.

• Analyze detailed software & hardware architectures, designs and functional requirements for aircraft & surface mission systems.

• Develop additional detailed system and software requirements.

• Design, develop, test and implement MMS software and applications using tools such as Linux, JAVA, Javascript, Python, SQL, OWL, CSS, C , C#, Bootstrap, XML, HTML & WSSDL.

• Develop software from the MMS to interface with Software Defined Radios; this development includes mapping the software to the Interface Control/Design Document (ICD/D) for radios such as the ARC-210, RT-5000 and HF communication radios.

• Develop software interfaces from MMS to sensors for tooling, configuration, service updates and data recording.

• Oversee the installation of software on a variety of MMS hardware configurations.

• Develop Graphical User Interface (GUI) design.

• Develop and Conduct unit, system tests & integration tests.

• Conduct code reviews and develop technical documentation.

• Work with team members to ensure software usability and reliability.

• Frequent Travel to meet Government requirements.

• Obtain and Maintain at least a Secret clearance.

• Mentor more junior software developers.

• Conduct code reviews and Quality Assurance (QA) of software source code.

• Build visions, business relationships & goals for future endeavors.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics and other suitable equivalent experience and certifications.

• A minimum of and minimum 5 years experience for senior developer.

• Proven performance of leadership, communication and team skills.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
• Must be able to lift/carry 20-50 lbs.

Clearance:

• Secret or the ability to obtain Secret.
