Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Sr. Principal Data/Configuration Manager to support a Federal government client. As a Sr. Principal Data/Configuration Manager, you will:

• Work closely with product teams to maintain configuration baselines, develop, or modify CM plans, attend/contribute to configuration control board meetings, produce reports, and maintain release documentation. Work may be done independently and/or as part of a team. Candidates should be familiar with software development processes such as Agile/Scrum and/or Kanban, managing the development of multiple baselines/features, and have excellent communication skills.
• Maintain release schedules, by coordinating with technical teams and task/subtask specific configuration analysts to ensure successful delivery of releases.
• Coordinate with Product/Mission Owners, and other stakeholders for deployment and testing of releases.
• Coordinate with the integration and operations team to ensure environments are ready to receive the baselines, and provides release details, version documentation, for releases.
• Coordinate and guide software Configuration/Change Control Boards (CCBs).

Security Clearance

• Required security clearance is a TS/SCI/CI POLY or with the ability to obtain one.

Requirements

• Experience with development languages such as Java, JavaScript.
• Provisioning tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience deploying/installing software; performing post SW build verification.
• Basic understanding of Linux commands.
• Basic use of scripting languages such as BASH, Python, Perl and/or Groovy.
• Experience with Maven.
• Experience with CM tools such Jira, Git/Gitlab, SVN to manage software files and track software changes.
• Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Artifactory.
• Knowledge of automating builds through scripting with the ability to evaluate and optimize existing build SW scripts.
• Maintaining product baselines and configuration status accounting documentation.
• Development process such as Agile/Scrum and/or Kanban.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or a PhD; An additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
