Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Senior to support a government client.

Description:

• Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Plan and lead major technology assignments.
• Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• May supervise others.
• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
• May also design network and computer security measures.
• May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.

Clearance:

• TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI/POLY

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Expert technical knowledge in Information Technology and Security Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in a combination of Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Authorization to Operate (ATO), security scans, network defense design, intrusion analysis, and security protocols.
• Knowledge of FISMA, DHS Sensitive Systems Policy Directive 4300A, and NIST 800 information security guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively and conduct briefings or presentations to partners and government leaders.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations across a large, complex business.
• Analytical aptitude with an emphasis on complex problem solving, logical thinking, and evaluation of solutions.
• Experience with DoD RMF/ATO process to perform assessment and authorization, IA controls, and preparing artifacts. Experience with CCRI or CCORI is desirable.
• Must be proficient in eMASS, VRAM experience is preferred.
• Cognizance of various DoD policies and regulations (e.g. 8500, 5200), and ability to interpret such policies and regulations.
• Review and provide feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders, and instructions.

Preferred Skills:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP), or a related industry certification.
• DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) access.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
