Emergent Holdings Career Section is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Early Career Programs Near Southfield, MI

Reporting to the Supervisor of Early Career Programs, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to anticipate the early career needs of the enterprise and to deliver best intern and early career talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Manage the recruiting process of assigned requisitions from sourcing, interviewing, to offer extension.
  • Coordinate student intern, trainee/ and apprenticeship program placement. 
  • Work with colleges and universities to screen, interview, and place students in potential internships.
  • Understand business strategy and provide innovative and creative recruitment and retention solutions.
  • Research and register the Talent Acquisition team for career fairs
  • Coordinate career fair planning, career fair materials (ordering, tracking, shipping, logistics), and reporting on career fair team registration.
  • Track, analyze and report career fair attendee and post-fair placement and related documentation.
  • Attend various intern/early career recruiting events.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to establish a recruitment action plan.
  • Integrate diversity and inclusion strategies by developing and maintaining relationships with community groups and other associations to further our diversity efforts.
  • Utilize innovative recruiting methods including social media sites, networking events, building partnerships, etc.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting HR metrics on all recruitment matters (i.e. time to fill).
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with colleges, universities, and non-academic career placement organizations.
  • Collaborate with coordinator team for pre-boarding and onboarding activity.

Performs other related duties which may not be specifically listed in the position description, but which are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s class of work.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Progress towards, or completion of, industry recognized professional designations preferred. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company’s learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.

EXPERIENCE: 

With proper education credentials, five years relevant experience is required. Experience recruiting in insurance industry desired.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:

  • Thorough knowledge of, and the ability to effectively apply, concepts, theories, laws and regulations related to employment staffing.
  • Thorough knowledge of current sourcing and recruiting methodologies.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to objectively analyze trends and statistical data in the job market and recommend/implement resolution.
  • Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts and other information and respond to questions as appropriate.
  • Ability to negotiate while establishing and maintaining effective working and client relationships. 
  • Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and company standard software including ATS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Travel may be required.

Pay Range - Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $62,100 and $104,000.
