Presbyterian Village North is hiring immediately Restaurant Servers . Flexible 4 or 8 hour shifts welcome; open or close serving our amazing Independent Residents!

Hours Open are 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide food and beverage service in dining room
  • Serve residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitality
  • Models a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
  • Friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
  • Ensure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  • Maintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hours
  • Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, mask
  • Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including work stations
  • Clean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining area
  • Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisors instructions
  • Assists with any special events as assigned
  • Reset tables to specifications with clean pressed linen
  • Fold and sort silverware and napkins for dining room
  • Set-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service; clean appropriately at the end of service
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Previous experience in A la Carte food & beverage service and customer service
  • Food Handlers card required
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Ability to be patient and gracious with residents
