Presbyterian Village North is currently hiring a part-time Rehabilitation Tech to join our fantastic Wellness Team!

Part time: 16-24 hours/week, Monday - Friday

Forefront Living is the not-for-profit, faith-based parent of Presbyterian Village North, Faith Presbyterian Hospice, and the T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Model a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers

Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards

Maintain good attendance record

Provide non-skilled portions of therapy sessions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist according to Medicare guidelines and the state practice acts both in aquatic and land settings

Prepare residents for therapy treatments, including but not limited to, dressing, bathing, toileting of residents for aquatic therapy treatments. Transportation of residents to and from therapy sessions

Clerical duties as assigned by supervisor

Computer data entry as assigned by supervisor, basic knowledge of MS Word, MS excel.

Daily therapist/patient scheduling/communicate daily therapy schedule with wellness/nursing team

Manage facility Durable Medical Equipment (DME), including maintaining equipment logs and organizing and track department supplies and their utilization.

Place and receive orders for department supplies.

Assist in cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas(s) and equipment.

Attend weekly Rehab meetings and other meetings as assigned by supervisor

Other duties as assigned by Wellness Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required

Possession of a valid Texas Certified Nurse Assistant certification preferred

Able to successfully complete on the job training with the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Wellness staff

Demonstrates computer proficiency with therapy billing and clinical software

Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and to organize work effectively

Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, to share information freely, to use and seek supervision and consultation verbally and in writing, and to be able to follow both verbal and written instructions

Ability to adjust to changing conditions, frequent demands and stressful situations

Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with handicap and hospice patients

Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements

Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities

Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
