PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
$100 EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS
JOB CATEGORY: ACCOUNTING / ADMINISTRATION
POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Procurement Specialist coordinates all aspects of the procurement program for the Organization. Works with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs for vendors/suppliers and services/supplies while deploying cost saving strategies in the process. Through this collaboration, manages approved vendor/supplier lists, develops vendor and product standardization protocols and manages vendor/supplier relationships.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or closely related field plus three years related experience in supply chain, procurement or inventory management; OR high school/GED plus seven years’ direct procurement experience.
• Effective analytical skills including working knowledge of financial statement analysis and supply chains to include vendor and item management. Measurable experience with cost saving efforts or initiatives ensuring that procurement programs also meet the needs of the key stakeholders.
• Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills – including statistical report writing.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook and Word with advanced Excel skills.
