Presbyterian Homes & Services - Oak Crest is seeking a part-time (16 hours / week) Life Enrichment Assistant / Administrative Assistant to join its team.

The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for implementing and monitoring assigned life enrichment / leisure life programming for residents consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.

This Administrative Assistant is responsible for initiating and coordinating the clerical and other support functions required in effective implementation of administrative policies as designated by the site.

SCHEDULE / HOURS : Approx. 16 hours / week during normal business hours.

REPORTING STRUCTURE : This position reports to the Site Leader.

Hourly : $15.72 - $18.48 / hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Coordinate events with community volunteers
• Perform assigned work routines and daily assignments to meet the psychosocial and activities needs of residents through : Creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, recreation, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, personal routines, spontaneous activityCreating monthly activity calendarAssist residents with activities of their choice, group, or individualArrange and schedule outings and special events.

Assist with coordinating van transportation for events

• Create a positive customer experience by welcoming visitors and residents at the front desk and prompt attention to service requests that also includes communicating completion of assigned tasks.
• Provide administrative support for data entry and records maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in monitoring stock of supplies and assist ordering and restocking of supplies.
• Conduct tours for prospective residents
• And other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or equivalent.
• Able and willing to work flexible hours such as during evenings and weekends for planned programs.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative and good rapport with residents, staff, families and volunteers.
• Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
