We are searching for a full-time Educational Assistant to join our Pre-K classroom! Our school is open Monday through Friday, work hours are 8:30am to around 5:00pm (depending on when all of the aftercare students are picked up). We are a private school, we have 4 classrooms and our Early Childhood teaching staff consists of 4 teachers and 4 assistants. Our classrooms have a maximum of 8-9 students. The school is closed for holidays, school breaks, summer break. As an hourly employee, you will be unpaid during those closures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School diploma
• Strong desire to work with toddler age group
• Must be able to pass background check
• Must have the ability to get on the floor to play, and to lift young children

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting teachers with preparation and/or delivery of instructional material; music and games, art, reading, math activities, etc.
• Assisting in one-on-one and small group activities;
• Assisting in caring for student needs: May include such duties as feeding, cleaning, diapering, toileting, clothing changes, and assisting with other daily living activities;
• Assisting in management of students who may be disruptive or combative;
• Assisting with supervision of students on the playground, cafeteria, restrooms, etc.
• Participating in staff meetings, in-service training, and other school activities
• Performing clerical duties for teachers;
• Performing substitute duties as assigned;
• performing other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
