Summary of Job: The Speech-Language Pathologist shall plan and implement specific speech therapy treatment programs for residents in a variety of settings according to accepted Speech-Language Pathology practices and principles and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Reporting Relationship: The Speech-Language Pathologist will report to the Director of Rehabilitation.
Other Key Relationships: The Speech-Language Pathologist will directly supervise treatment carried out by Speech-Language Pathology students.
Requirements
Minimum Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Postgraduate Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and currently licensed in the state of South Carolina as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Possess a current certification from ASHA. Three months of related experience in a senior living community or skilled nursing facility.
Skill: Ability to effectively communicate using basic language skills. Ability to manage time and the work demands using practical problem solving and critical thinking skills. Proficient computer skills and familiar with programs including, Rehab Optima, Casamba, Point Click Care, Microsoft Office, etc.
