As our campus at Laurel Crest Retirement Community and Columbia continues to grow, we are seeking Vital Living Companions for home services. This candidate would provide one-on-one care and support services to residents across the continuum of care.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist residents with ADLs such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, nail care, eating and medication reminders.
• Respond to residents’ needs promptly and with a great attitude.
• Assist residents in promoting optimal mobility and independence.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks which are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Perform routine cleaning of resident’s apartment/room, including emptying and removing trash, making bed, washing dishes, dusting/damp wiping all surfaces including bathroom and bathing areas, dust mopping/damp mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc.
• Making arrangements for transportation of residents to and from appointments as well as shopping.
• Perform other support services such as pet care, watering plants, changing out seasonal clothes, etc.
• Report any changes in residents condition to the Vital Living Manager immediately.
• Participate in all aspects of the Community including: disaster preparedness, educational training, in-service meetings, annual training, and other trainings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification
• 1-3 years of experience as a C.N.A. or Companion
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record 
• SC Driver's License
