Essential Job Functions: Through employee’s own efforts: 

• Uphold the PCSC Mission, Vision, Values and commitment Statement in all aspects of work, leading by example and holding self-accountable for exemplifying compassionate Christian service. 

• Prepare food indicated on menu for residents, guests and staff including salads, sandwiches, snacks and drinks. 

• Schedule food preparation, as directed, so items are prepared according to time required to meet serving schedule.

• Estimate food requirements and control serving portions, eliminating waste and leftovers.

• Handle cash and credit/debit card transactions. Balance cash drawer at end of each shift.

• Perform all daily cleaning and extra cleaning assignments as directed.

• Assist, as directed in menu planning, preparing food and locking and unlocking department; assist Servers with tray deliveries as needed 

• Provide quick, friendly, and personal service to residents and staff.

• Maintain cleanliness of café by wiping down and cleaning booths, tables, chairs and cleaning up spills on the floor.

• Place used dishes in the dishwasher and/or wash items by hand in three-compartment sink.

• Generate resident satisfaction; respond appropriately to resident concerns.

• Follow all health and sanitation regulations in the performance of work tasks.

• Arrange tables and assist with resident seating as needed.

• Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service.

• Perform other duties as assigned
