Do you love collaborating on mechanical designs, technical drawings and schematics? The engineering team at Premier designs and continually improves the engines, pumps, trailer packages, enclosures and other industrial products for customers around the world. We are looking for that next dynamic individual to join our fast and fun team.This position is full time and reports to the Lead Engineer.ResponsibilitiesReview technical drawings and modeling production work to ensure that builds and designs conform to specifications, codes, standards, and customer requirementsConduct field surveys, author drawings, and collect other data to assess state of ongoing builds and provide summary reportsConduct routine design reviews to verify integrity and completion of product designs before fabricationInterview and shadow assembly and fabrication staff to identify potential optimizations and recommend design adjustments, including consistency verification and problem analysisWork closely with senior engineers to review new product designs and update existing designsTake on projects outside core role during periods of peak demand and when needed, including administrative and assembly tasksAuthor assembly instructions, runbook documentation and standard operating proceduresParticipate in an on-call rotation schedule and respond to emergent requestsQualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experienceProficiency with Autodesk Inventor, SOLIDWORKs, or equivalent 3D CAD modeling softwareFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel or equivalentExperience working on small and medium sized projects at an individual contributor scope, including technical implementation detailsAbility to work independently, effectively assess and prioritize projects and tasksComfortable navigating complex and ambiguous work environmentFluency in English, ability to communicate ideas and decisions persuasivelyHunger to learn new things, receive constructive feedback, grow professionally and gain experience on a fast-paced engineering team(Preferred) Familiarity with automation or scripting in at least one programming languageAdditional InformationWhile visiting manufacturing facilities, performing inspections and troubleshooting in active assembly and fabrication areas, employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, moving equipment and mid to high range of noise. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
