Dental Assistant

Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing patient assessments, maintaining medical records, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.

Ideal Assistant Description : Self motivated, team player.

Work Location : In person

Duties :

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures such as, Osseous surgery, extractions, soft tissue grafts, implant placement and sinus lifts
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available
  • Take and record vital signs of patients before and after procedures
  • Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and documenting any concerns or issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
  • Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff
  • Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix to schedule appointments, manage patient records, and process billing.

Skills :

  • Excellent patient assessment skills to identify any oral health concerns or issues
  • Proficiency in assisting dentists with various procedures, including restorative work and oral surgeries
  • Ability to accurately record and monitor vital signs of patients
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed medical records
  • Thorough understanding of infection control protocols and ability to implement them effectively
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling and record management
