Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is looking for a VP, Revenue Cycle Management to work out of our Newtown Square, PA corporate office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management will ensure the following:

• Efficient and accurate pre-registration and registration process
• Thorough pre-certification procedures
• Complete and timely charge capture, coding and claim submission
• Capture of up-front patient collections, self-pay, and balances owed
• A successful follow up and denial program that aggressively pursues monies owed
• Open and active communication and partnership between all invested departments and with billing provider team to drive an efficient and successful revenue cycle process
• Transparent and accurate reporting process that provides regular review of department performance to all levels of the organization
• Coaching and mentoring of team that reports up through this position, developing leaders beneath them

EDUCATION

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar
  Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar
• Certified Coder a plus
• Relevant experience and proven track record of success considered in lieu of education

EXPERIENCE

• 10 years overseeing front and back-end revenue cycle
• 5 years with oversight of director level leadership in revenue cycle

REQUIREMENTS
This position requires an active partnership with several collaborative departments and leaders across the organization. Communication with physicians and providers, the Executive Committee, and senior leadership to report on department metrics and initiatives to occur regularly. The successful candidate will understand organizational dynamics and balance the competing priorities of all invested parties in the process to drive the team’s success. This position will be tasked with identifying opportunities to improve the revenue cycle process from initial patient registration through denials and balance collection, navigating matrixed reporting structures and complex interdepartmental dynamics to maximize the revenue outcomes of the enterprise.

KNOWLEDGE
General:

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of computer applications including windows-based applications and web-based EMR.
  o Athena EMR experience a plus.
• Knowledge of telephone and fax systems.
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Role Specific:

• Advanced understanding of the revenue cycle process, payor regulations, and collections.
• Knowledge and billing and coding compliance.
• Knowledge of healthcare setting, with orthopedic experience a plus.

SKILLS

• Skill in using computer programs and applications. Demonstrates familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Skill in producing reports, graphs, slides and other metrics for distribution at various levels in the organization.
