Premier Medical Resources is seeking a full-time Patient Advocate to join our team. The Patient Advocate specializes in providing key updates and serves as liaison between patients and referral sources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrates Customer Service Standards
  • Verifies if all authorizations have been obtained prior to scheduling an appointment
    • Requesting LOP and ensuring that the verifications department has verified and updated the patient information in regard to insurance benefits and responsibility
  • Collects new patient referrals and updates corresponding referral log
  • Reports statistics as required, manage filing and record-keeping activities
    • Updates daily log and calendar for all patient office visits
  • Creates new patient charts in SalesForce and eCW with complete patient information and demographics, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Schedules and reschedules all patients' consultations as necessary
  • Determines appropriate office clinic location(s) for patients being referred out. communicate with appropriate staff to ensure the patient is scheduled timely
  • Safeguards patient privacy, keeping patient information confidential
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Healthcare Experience
  • EMR experience
  • Must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule to adhere to business needs

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • On-site position
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
