This position is full-time with a flexible schedule. Morning, evening, and weekend hours are available. A candidate looking to start part-time would also be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic manual skills or an ardent desire to learn from a seasoned team of Physical Therapists.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• Current or eligible for Maryland State Physical Therapy Assistant License

• At least 1 year of full-time experience in a clinical setting

• Special Interest in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy

• Current BLS and CPR Certification

• Entrepreneurial go-getter/self-starterspirit

• Must be familiar with the typical use and functions of the computer such asusernames and password concepts: internet; email; navigation of the computer desktop

Education:

• Associate degree for Physical Therapist Assistant

• Current of eligible for PTA license in State of Maryland

Job Responsibilities:

• Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in an outpatient setting

• Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.

• Administers individualized treatment programs for patients

• Completes documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services

• Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences

• Adhere to legal and ethical standards

• Complies with all federal, state, local, and insurance-based rules, and regulations

• Provides hands on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities

• Collaborates with colleagues to optimize care

• Utilizes EMR (Electronic Medical Record) for documentation, reporting, and data collection

Physical Demands:

• Ability to fulfill activities but not limited to remain stationary for extended periods of time, stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the office, communicate with others (verbal and written), and use fine motor skills including keyboarding.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
