Premier Martial Arts specializes in teaching children character development through the study of martial arts. Our unique curriculum combines the styles of Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, and Kickboxing to develop our students to be a well-rounded martial artist. Self-defense, fitness and character development is our goal to better empower children and adults to grow their confidence in themselves, self-discipline to do what they know they should, focus and concentration to enhance their school work, careers, respect for others, and the perseverance to never give up on things when they become difficult.

We are seeking a high energy, ethical, organized and proficient martial artist, who loves people, to instruct students in our new martial arts studio. If you have the requisite martial arts experience, and a strong desire to share your love of martial arts, we want to talk to you!

Position Overview:

Instructor

An instructor at a Premier Martial Arts (“PMA”) location is a person who has a passion for changing lives through day to day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and leadership driven personality is a must! A person who can not only teach but more importantly inspire others to be their best version of themselves is required. A PMA instructor utilizes the tools provided to them to impact as many people as possible, is always a student, and never lets their ego get the best of them. A learning attitude is key for this position’s success. Our instructors must be willing to fully embrace our systems, which will probably be different from their past experience.

The ideal candidate will help us achieve our goals by partnering with the studio owners and the other instructors to develop and provide a premium experience for our students.

Premier Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques found in four effective disciplines: Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling and Kali which provide students with a realistic personal protection and fitness system for a modern world.

Class Instruction and Administration:

· Instruction of up to 5 - 7 High Energy, Benefit Driven, and “eductaining” classes daily

· Customer Relations with the students and parents

· Follow Premier Martial Arts systems and curriculum

· Class Planning and management

· Drills for Skills

· Life Lesson Black Belt Excellence (“BBE”) Mat Chats

· Black Belt Life Lesson Program

· Belt rank exams

· Student ranking, tracking, and reporting

· Demo Team

· Group Introduction Lessons

· Student retention

· Ensure the studio is clean, safe and upholds the Premier Martial Arts brand and standards

· Events - Weekend tournaments or Birthday Parties

Training and Education of Instructor Management:

· Certified Instructor Training

· Performance Evaluation for all Instructors

· Instructor Schedules / Hours

· Leadership Program

Outline of a Typical Work Week

· Weekdays: Afternoon and Evening Classes

· Instruct martial arts classes of varying ages and ranks

· Participate in internal Team trainings

· Saturday's 2 to 5 hours, as needed

· Group Introductory Lessons

· Birthday Parties (As Needed/Scheduled)

Karate Instructor Requirements/Qualifications:

• Black belt in a traditional martial art is Not required, but is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of martial arts experience is a plus.
• Prior experience teaching students of varying ages and fitness levels
• Clear criminal record
• Physically agile
• Top-notch leadership skills
• Outstanding verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
• Respectful, supportive, and fair approach to teaching
• Strong event planning skills
• Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn the software used to run the studio

Compensation: $12 - $20 per hour (commensurate with experience)
