Premier Island Management Group LLC is Hiring an Adventures Attendant Near Pensacola, FL

SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To facilitate, promote, and sell a great adventure experience, charge guests for rental items, and provide great customer service while maintaining a safe environment.


KEY PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Operation
  • Rent Adventures equipment making sure to thoroughly explain how to safely and correctly use each rental item.
  • This includes explaining the boundaries and rules for each rental item/activity.
  • Sell Adventures packages
  • Correctly charge guests and owners for Adventures activities when necessary
  • Make sure all rental paperwork and waivers are filled out completely and properly
  • Assist guests with putting on life vests/bicycle helmets (if needed) and ensure they are fitted securely
  • Assist guests with boarding equipment
  • Walk the line frequently on the beach/cove to make sure everyone has paid for their beach chairs or has an adventure package.
  • On the beach/using the clip system for sets to make sure all seated guests have been checked in
  • Treat equipment with care, taking all precautions not to damage equipment or tools that the team needs on a daily basis and ensuring that equipment is always stored properly
  • Report any accident personal or guest injury to management
  • Report any equipment damage to management
  • SELL, SELL, SELL – Be sales-oriented and take advantage of any opportunity to inform our guests of the resort amenities they can take part in during their stay
  • Monitor the activity in the water, keeping an eye on guests to ensure lifejackets are being worn properly, are staying within the boundaries, and following rules
  • Ensure that all rental equipment is returned, accounted for, and stored at the end of each shift. Daily inventory counts must be completed at the opening and closing of each business day.
  • Keep your area of operation clean, presentable, and organized.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and act in a manner consistent with Premier’s MVV


OCCASIONAL DUTIES or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:

  • Set-up and Breakdown Adventures Beach, Cove, and/or Depot including chair sets, tents, rental equipment
  • Walking your area of operation to pick up trash.
  • To fix and repair any broken rental items.
  • Building of chair boxes, trash cans, or other examples of master carpentry.
  • Washing golf carts, coupes/scooters, bicycles, and work truck
  • Dealing with disgruntled guests/owners.
  • Ensure that trash cans are kept neat and not overfilled. Take trash to appropriate dumpsters.
  • Operate Sea-Doo in the event that a guest has not arrived at the appropriate time or needs assistance.
  • Practice proper radio etiquette when communicating on all radio types.
  • Must be comfortable getting in the water often for placing inflatables, searching for anchor lines, scrubbing barnacles, putting in/taking out personal islands/splash mats, and moving AquaBanas.


ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Records:Employee is responsible for all sales tickets/receipts, end-of-shift financial reports, and daily inventory records.
  • Safety: Employees must always maintain a safe working environment. This includes looking out for the safety of co-workers, guests, owners, and the general public. It is the responsibility of the staff member to follow all rental SOPs to ensure renters have received a proper explanation of how to safely use the rental items.
  • Customer Service:Providing the best possible guest service in accordance with PIMG policies and procedures.
  • Dept. Specific: Being honest and reliable. This includes arriving to work on time, accomplishing assigned tasks, and being a hard worker. The employee is responsible for making sure all products are turned in at the end of each day, completing a daily inventory log, and then storing each item accordingly.
  • Ensure that all equipment in need of maintenance is reported to your manager and/or the Adventures Director.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Making sure all guests use our rental items in a safe manner. Also, monitoring incoming weather through communications with Adventures Management.
  • Use of Chase Ski to monitor guests' safety using rental equipment.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Sales experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the use of water sports equipment
  • Florida Boater’s License preferred
  • Customer service experience required

SPECIALIZED OR TECHNICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to efficiently operate a P.O.S. terminal.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to effectively follow directions.
  • Ability to interact well with guests, owners, and co-workers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and the general public


CERTIFICATION OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Florida Boater’s Education ID Card
  • FWC Livery Certification

SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT:

  • Kayaks, sailboats, boogie boards, paddle boards, surfboards, bicycles, scoot coupes, scooters, Moke, electric bikes, golf carts, Sea-Doos, Hobie cats, and a water park. Other equipment to be used may include but is not limited to, a personal computer, P.O.S. terminal, printer, calculator, and standard office equipment and machines as required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee will be required to do some intense physical labor, such as carrying heavy items through the sand. The employee must be able to swim. Strength and stamina will be required in order to perform this job. The ability to work in a hot and humid environment is also required. The physical demands of this position can be very intense and frequently involve difficult manual labor.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily outdoors (Adventure Beach or Adventure Cove). The Adventure Depot will not be significantly affected by the sun, but it will be extremely hot and humid. Sunglasses and Sunscreen are highly recommended as well as staying hydrated.

ADDITIONAL REMARKS:

  • Must be capable of completing this type of physical labor. The employee needs to be highly extroverted and motivated to sell. Employees should exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of autonomy.
