Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is in Wynnewood, PA. The staff at Saunders are dedicated to working as a professional team providing a caring and compassionate home-like environment for all residents. We are looking for a full-time Resident Assistant to help with various duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor or Unit Manager.
Responsibilities include:
·Assist in maintaining the assigned residents’ room so that the bedside stands and closets are in order.
·Transport/accompany residents to activities, dining area, barber/beauty shop and physical therapy.
·Clean all eyeglasses, dentures and ensure residents clothing is free from wear and tear; ensure walkers, canes, assistive devices are clean.
·Attend meetings, in-service programs, and emergency preparedness drills per policy.
·Perform light housekeeping chores as the situation demands.
·Place the utility room in order at the end of each shift as assigned.
·Fill water pitchers and residents water cups as assigned.
·Supervise residents smoking as assigned.
·Assist in room moves.
·Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications required:
·Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
·Must have effective communication skills to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
·Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all levels of staff. This includes having patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
