Premier Healthcare is Hiring a Director of Environmental Services Near Batavia, NY
Compensation: $20-$23 per hour
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain Laundry, Housekeeping, and Porter staff schedules
- Attend scheduled meetings including but not limited to morning report, QAPI, and safety committee
- Run monthly department staff meetings
- Update SDS binders and other relevant documents accordingly
- Inventory & purchase all housekeeping and laundry needs
- Work with corporate team on all other purchases such as linens, specialty items, etc.
- Complete Resident Room Audits
- Complete Staff routine staff evaluations as necessary
- Write and update policies as needed
- Oversee Medical Waste Disposal
- Complete weekly and monthly job schedules for all staff (beds, wheelchairs, buffing floors, waxing floors etc.)
- Communicate daily updates for staff regarding admissions, room changes, and discharges
- Interview and hire staff candidates
- Participate in mandatory in-services
- Provide coverage in the absence of staff as needed
- Work with other departments as needed
- Any other duties requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing
- Three years of Environmental Services experience in a skilled nursing facility
- At least one year of experience as a Director of Environmental Services in a skilled nursing facility
- Strong knowledge of New York State Department of Health rules and regulations
- Candidate must be detail-oriented with solid computer skills and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of New York State Department of Health rules and regulations.
- A strong ability to build positive relationships with residents and family members.
