Auction House Assistant
We are looking to hire another employee for our growing auction house team. The right candidate for the job will be responsible for building and uploading a variety of auctions online. No experience is needed, we will provide training but if you are an antique, comic, or sports connoisseur, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

• Capture professional images to create a compelling and accurate representation of the product.

• Research and price various types of collectibles including comics, collectibles, vintage knives, sport memorabilia and more.
• Understand how to group items to make an appealing lot to be sold.
• Utilize photo editing software to crop and retouch images.
• Work efficiently in Excel.
• Build entire auctions using our auction software.
• Identify and correct inaccuracies.
• Develop a working knowledge of internal image databases, naming conventions, and general auction house procedures.
• Develop a deeper knowledge of the items we deal with.
• Learn the whole process of posting an auction online.
• Willingness to train in and support other departments based on workflow needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A passion, appreciation for, or knowledge of collectibles and antiques
• Experience working with cameras, lighting, and other photography equipment is preferred.
• Computer proficiency is essential.
• Strong communication skills.
• Effective project management skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and stand alone depending on the workload.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to move/lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
